The Day After – Extra Life After Report

So – First off! We did it!

This was my first year doing Extra Life, I set a goal of 200 bucks, and we got to 350. So amazing stuff folks, I wish I could remember all the people that were involved in supporting me but it is a long list and my mind is hazy.

After 20 hours of straight computer games I was able to understand that my moniker ‘Old Man Mordaith’ was a bit more than simple pretty words. In the last 5 hours you can really start to hear me shut down. Lots of forgetting what I was doing, a comical sudden death, and a variety of other sleepy time issues. I slept well, got my videos posted on the YouTubes this morning, and tried figuring out the best way to let everyone know about the content update with out spamming.

So – I will be posting the new videos in order of appearance so everyone can check them out on their own pace. I will also post some comments on each of the streams and what time I was doing them – you know – for prosperity.

Grim Dawn – 4 am to 6 am – I had been up since 2 am getting ready. I started off nervous wondering if anyone would even come and watch. Decided on a nice isometric loot grind to start me off.

Destiny 2 – 6 am to 8 am – Still with the loot grind feel, it was here we started seeing more people popping by, wishing me luck for the day. Figured the action shooty feel would help get the brain box ready for the rest of the day.

Crusader Kings II –  8 am to 1 pm – This marked the 10 hour Paradox-palooza. CK2 is one of my favorites and this was a great way to spend the sensible hours of the day.

Stellaris – 1 pm to 6 pm – The second half of the massive Paradox-palooza stream, this was great. Loved people joining in and offering thoughts on the game. Also great seeing how excited people get watching me play Stellaris and how they want to get into their own space adventure.

MidBoss – 6 pm to 7 pm – One of my favorite indie titles I got the chance to see this year. We played the entire hour on our first Imp. I was pretty pleased and we found some nice gear as well. For sure check out Kitsune Games they have some great titles and MidBoss is worth the play.

Citadel: Forged with Fire – 7 pm to Midnight – This is the part of the stream you can start hearing the exhaustion kicking in. I do some incoherent rambling and I know I fell asleep at the wheel at least once. When? I’ll never tell. (But I’m sure you can guess.)

It was a fantastic time. I look forward to the next Game Day. But, you do not have to wait for Game Day to donate to Extra Life. People working on behalf of the charity can collect the mad money all year round, so keep an eye out for other streams and events.

Thanks again for the love and support!

For the Kids!
